    1. Ordered two more pair for visitors

After many years of trekking in my Wood and rawhide Alaskans I got my original Backcountry Snowshoes about 9 years ago. I have been trekking in them ever since in rugged terrain and woods near Lake Superior for 7 - 10 hours a week all winter (well into May in 2013). The bindings are quick on, easy off (even crusted in ice) and keep the shoes aligned. They work with whatever boots I choose for the conditions. They have been all I could want - light, rugged, maneuverable and attached like they are part of my body. My wife and I each keep a pair at our Northern home and our north central Wisconsin home.

I have grown tired of waiting for guests up north to finish struggling with donning their snowshoes (numerous national types and brands) and then watching them struggle keeping them straight and grumble about what they were doing and dealing with broken bindings and say they have to wear a particular boot. My solution was to buy two more pair so I have them for visitors to use.

      Great Shoes!

    2. Bombproof

I used these particular snowshoes for 200+ miles of snowshoeing along the more rugged, remote sections of wiconsin’s Ice Age Trail. I noticed that the Rescue Orange Decking sheds snow like no other, keeping foot weight low at all times. These work great on steep, hilly terrain or while cruising long snowmobile trails. Northern Lites provides the absolute best customer service and I’ll be using their snowshoes for all my winter adventures. on Nov 21st 2017

    3. Great Snowshoes

Super lightweight, met the owner at the St. Paul Ice Fishing expo this year, very nice women. Bindings take a little longer, and slightly finicky, when compared to other companies. But, hands down the best snowshoes I have ever used. I actually forgot I was even wearings snowshoes a couple miles into our last snow hike. 5 out of 5 all day. on Jan 2nd 2017

    4. Best Snowshoes available. 5 Stars

These snowshoes are as tough as they are light weight. I use them for forestry work in NE MN and they have been the most impressive piece of equipment I have bought in quite some time. The customer service is also outstanding. If your looking for a pair in more mountainous regions the NL-snow leopard looks like it will be the better choice. Wish I would have discovered Northern Lights snowshoes years ago. The only improvement I would recommend is to make the heel strap & connector the same as the toe straps. The heal strap connector will freeze up in wet conditions. This however, would add some unwanted weight to the shoes. Thank You Northern Lights for an amazing product. on Jan 1st 2017
