Limited Lifetime Warranty
All of our snowshoes are hand-crafted in Denver, Colorado using premium American components with suppliers we've worked with for decades. They're assembled by employees that have made thousands of our snowshoes.
What does the Limited Lifetime Warranty cover?
If your snowshoe is ever found to be defective in materials or worksmanship, we will reimburse any shipping costs and repair or replace your Northern Lites Snowshoes and ship them back to you at our expense, no questions asked.
If they are not found to be defective in materials or workmanship (wear and tear or abuse is not generally warranted), then we will offer you the option of repairing your snowshoes at-cost or simply returning them to you expense.
In cases of abnormal or clearly uneven wear and tear, it will usually be Northern Lites’ policy to resolve the issue in the customer’s favor. This Warranty applies to the original purchaser of Northern Lites Snowshoes.
WHAT IS COVERED
Here are some examples of what the warranty would cover:
- Broken rivets due toa manufacturing defect.
- Broken binding strap due to manufacturing defect.
- Broken buckle due to manufacturing defect.
- Broken Spin Binding Knob due to manufacturing defect.
- Broken frame due to manufacturing defect (not from extreme use or accidents).
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Here are some examples of what the warranty would cover:
- Torn decking from repetitive use
- Problems resulting from misuse, abuse or neglect (including bent or broken frames).
- Cosmetic issues like scratching, sun-faded decals, or oxidation/corrosion due to wet storage
- Normal wear and tear, i.e., dull crampons from hundreds of miles of use, cracking straps after years and years of use, etc.
Fishing Paddleboards and Universal Mounting Kits
5 Year Warranty
These mounting kits and paddleboads are built tough, and are warrantied from manufacturer defects or workmanship for 5 years after the purchase. Repairs due to normal wear and tear, accidents or abuse will be made at only our cost.
Paddleboard Accessories
Our accessories have different warranties depending on the item. We will typically side with the customer unless we have reason to believe they're being disingenuous or lying to us.

Please don't abuse this awesome return policy - the goal is to give online shoppers confidence in our products in a world where you can't always purchase things in store. This return policy is for unused products. If we receive an item back that was obviously used and shows signs, we may give a partial refund or no refund at all. You would have the option of having us ship the item back or taking a partial refund.
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since receiving your order, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. If special circumstances took place, such as a family member getting sick or a major life event, please contact us and we can make an exception.
Refund Process
Use the button above to start your refund. A prepaid shipping label will be emailed to you. Once we receive the product, we will inspect it and process the refund. Funds will be credited back to your payment method typically within a few business days.
Repairs
We Repair Northern Lites
If you need to return a damaged snowshoe for repair outside of a warranty claim, it must be shipped directly to Northern Lites for repair. We are happy to give a ballpark cost over the phone. Please submit return details using the form below for a Return Authorization prior to shipping the product to us.
