WE WISH YOU COULD HOLD THEM FIRST!

A lot of snowshoes claim to be "ultralight".  Our entire focus since 1992 has been keeping the weight down and durability up.

That's why we're Northern Lites - our snowshoes weigh half of what other snowshoes do and we're here to prove that!

WHERE DO WE STACK UP?

We picked the two most common snowshoe lengths, 25" and 30".  We also picked the most popular snowshoe brands out there, from ultralight trail to backcountry/mountaineering models.

If you're unsure where you fall, see our Northern Lites Size and Fit chart at the bottom of this page.

The graph above compares our 25" Elite All-Terrain snowshoe to the weights of other popular 25" snowshoes.

We average almost 50% lighter than the other snowshoes!

This graph compares our 30" Backcountry All-Terrain snowshoe to the weights of other popular 30" snowshoes.

Trekking through powder can be exhausting, which is why weight is so important. We're still a pound lighter than the Atlas Helium, the other lightest 30" snowshoe we could find.

At 3,200 strides per mile (the average) you save over 2,700 lbs. of weight lift per mile compared to the average snowshoe above!
