Information

Description

At just over 3 lbs. per PAIR, the 30" long Backcountry weighs less than the 22" models of other snowshoes!

Designed for men and women up to 225lbs looking for a backcountry workhorse that won't leave you with sore legs, the Backcountry provides the floatation you'll need but with huge weight savings. Longer and slightly wider than the 25" Elite, the Backcountry gets the job done for heavier users or deeper snow conditions when you need to stay on top.

The 9" x 30" Backcountry is a step up from the Quicksilver 30" snowshoes due to a lighter 7075 series frame, a lighter yet equally strong grade of COOLTHANE® decking, additional color options including Rescue Orange, and 42 more compact ridged deck clips for even more weight savings.

FAQs

What's the difference between the Quicksilver 25 and 30, and the Elite or Backcountry snowshoe models?

The Quicksilver's aluminum frame is slightly heavier and not quite as durable as the Elite or Backcountry snowshoes (6000 series vs. 7075-T6 alloy). The only color option for the Quicksilver line is silver and tan.

I'm a woman, can I get the Backcountry?

Absolutely! If you are a woman trekking through deep snow or with heavy loads, the Backcountry will be a great snowshoe for you. We used to carry a Women's Backcountry that was identical except for different colors, but ended up consolidating them into one unisex snowshoe.

Glide vs. Summit Traction System

Choose the featherweight Glide system for flat to rolling terrain or the Summit system for added traction and an integrated heel lift for steep ascents.
