Women's Elite Information

Description

Starting at just over 2.45 lbs. per PAIR, the Women's Elite is around half the weight of other 25" all-terrain snowshoes!

Year after year, the Women's Elite remains one of our most popular snowshoe models for women up to 180lbs looking to shed the weight and go further, faster. The 8" x 25" size and unmatched weight provides for unsurpassed maneuverability and speed in all conditions and terrain.

Although designed for hiking, it is light enough to easily use in races.

The Elite is a step up from the Quicksilver 25" snowshoes due to a lighter 7075 series frame, a lighter yet equally strong grade of COOLTHANE® decking, powder-coated color options and 38 more compact ridged deck clips for even more weight savings.

FAQs

What's the difference between the Quicksilver 25 and 30, and the Elite or Backcountry snowshoe models?

The Quicksilver's aluminum frame is slightly heavier and not quite as durable as the Elite or Backcountry snowshoes (6000 series vs. 7075-T6 alloy). The only color option for the Quicksilver line is silver and tan.

I'm a man, which can I get the Women's Elite?

Yes, if you are wanting to shave the most weight possible, the Women's Elite will save you a few ounces thanks to its thinner gauge aluminum frame. The frame is the same frame used in our Elite Race, so it can still take plenty of abuse.

Choosing Your Binding

Most snowshoers prefer the new advanced Spin Binding, but ultralight backpackers that require stackability and packability consider the Tru Trak binding.

  • Spin

  • Tru Trak

Highlights: BOA-like Spin Dial system with EVA foam padding makes this ultralight binding comfortable, quick and super secure.

Pros: Easy on/off even with mittens on, great foot security with toe-box, EVA padding gives all day comfort and eliminates hotspots.

Cons: Doesn't stack well on backpacks, slightly more weight than Tru Trak bindings.

Highlights: Simple over-boot three strap system time tested with 30+ years of intense field use.

Pros: Stacks on backpacks, simplicity, can self-install new straps. Highly adjustable.

Cons: Longer on/off, no toe-stop so slightly less secure than Spin Binding. Can be difficult to adjust with mittens on.
